Modulus Discovery Announces Signing of a Multi-Target Research Collaboration with Professor Osamu Nureki, University of Tokyo
Modulus Discovery, Inc., an early stage drug discovery company announced today the signing of a multi-target research collaboration with Professor Osamu Nureki of Department of Biological Sciences, Graduate School of Science, University of Tokyo for structural analysis on several drug target proteins.
Professor Nureki is a renowned structural biologist recently awarded the Purple Ribbon* from Japan’s Emperor in May 2018 for his significant lifetime scientific contributions in the field. He is known globally for his prolific structure determination of multiple membrane proteins including GPCRs and ion channels. Recently, he has been expanding his interests into cryo-electron microscopy (CryoEM) analysis of molecules for structures that have been difficult to be determined by traditional methods such as x-ray crystallography.
The collaboration provides Modulus privileged access to novel structures of high value targets that have strong synergies to Modulus’ proprietary computational platform.
