Modulus Discovery Announces the Appointment of Taisuke Takahashi, Ph.D. as Vice President and Head Of Chemistry

Modulus Discovery, Inc., an early stage global biopharmaceutical company with offices in Tokyo, Japan and Cambridge, MA, announced today the appointment of Taisuke Takahashi, Ph.D., as Vice President and Head of Chemistry.

Dr. Takahashi joins us from Astellas Pharma where he worked for 13 years in R&D as a medicinal chemist. During his tenure, he spent nearly two and a half years as Visiting Scientist and liason to Astellas Pharma at Mitobridge in Cambridge, MA, where he led multiple drug discovery programs with extensive use of global CROs. He has contributed to the delivery of multiple IND compounds which in part led to the recent $450M acquisition of the company by Astellas.

At Modulus, Dr. Takahashi will work closely with our CSO and computational platform team to lead all aspects of our medicinal chemistry research. Taisuke holds a Ph.D. from Tohoku University.
